Sustainable water management
Water is a precious resource, particularly along our Vendée coastline, where biodiversity depends on our care. We have rethought every point of contact with water to eliminate unnecessary waste:
- Water-saving fittings: We have fitted aerators to all our taps. These devices reduce water flow by up to 50% without compromising water pressure. In our communal washrooms, timed push-button taps prevent water from running unnecessarily.
- Sustainable toilets: All our facilities are fitted with dual-flush toilets. This system allows the amount of water used to be adjusted to suit each need, resulting in significant savings across thousands of flushes every season.
- Sustainable water activities: Because holidays are all about fun, we have optimised the management of our water parks. The opening of our slides is now regulated and synchronised with peak times to limit water flow and the energy required for pumping.
Energy: Towards energy efficiency
The energy transition is at the heart of our renovation strategy. We are modernising our facilities to drastically reduce our carbon footprint:
- Smart, low-energy lighting: Today, 100% of our indoor and outdoor light bulbs are latest-generation LEDs. For our paths and communal areas, we favour solar lighting, which harnesses the Vendée’s abundant sunshine to ensure your safety at night without consuming any electricity.
- Innovation in rental accommodation: To combat energy wastage, some of our mobile homes are fitted with key-operated switches. This smart system automatically switches off the lighting and electrical appliances as soon as you remove your key to leave, thus preventing unnecessary energy consumption whilst you’re out at the beach.
Waste management and maintenance
The essence of camping is to immerse yourself in nature without leaving a trace. We follow strict protocols to ensure a clean and healthy site:
- Waste sorting and recycling: We provide accessible and clearly marked collection points for sorting your packaging. At the same time, we ensure rigorous management of green waste from the maintenance of our landscaped grounds, which is recycled locally.
- Certified and environmentally responsible maintenance: The health of our guests and soil conservation are our top priorities. Our maintenance teams use only Ecolabel-certified cleaning products. These products guarantee impeccable hygiene whilst being biodegradable and non-toxic to the surrounding flora and fauna.
